David Farer and Ann Waeger Lecture at October ALI-ABA Transactions and Brownfields National Symposium in Boston
On October 12-13, 2006, David Farer chaired and lectured at the 19th annual American Law Institute-American Bar Ass'n (ALI-ABA) advanced course: “The Impact of Environmental Law on Real Estate and Business Transactions: Brownfields and Beyond.”
David developed this course for ALI-ABA in 1988, and has chaired it since its inception.
Our partner Ann Waeger again joined David on the national faculty of leading authorities in the field.
Ann spoke on environmental insurance for brownfields and other development projects, and on cleanup cost-recovery through insurance claims.
David lectured on brownfield redevelopment laws and programs around the country, transaction-triggered environmental laws, and contractual allocation of environmental risks in transactions.
During the two-day intensive program, the faculty also addressed such current topics as:
In the published materials, David and Ann have contributed substantial scholarly articles on the topics they addressed during the conference.
