ABA Environmental Transactions & Brownfields Committee to Present Series of Teleconferences
The Environmental Transactions & Brownfields Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, which is chaired by our partner Richard Ericsson, will present a series of teleconferences addressing a range of issues related to the brownfields redevelopment process. The first of these presentations, “Brownfield Basics – What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You” will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 12:30pm – 2:00pm ET. The program will provide a basic overview of the potential environmental liabilities and business risks associated with the acquisition and development of commercial and industrial properties, as well as tools for managing them.
Future teleconferences will be scheduled throughout 2008, and are expected to address topics including environmental due diligence for brownfields transactions, the latest developments in environmental insurance, and the allocation and negotiation of environmental liability issues.
