Susan Karp Speaks at July Site Remediation Seminar in Newark
Our partner Susan C. Karp was on the faculty for a one-day workshop on “Site Remediation in New Jersey”. The program, which was presented by Law Seminars International, addressed the latest legal developments and practical tools related to the remediation of contaminated properties in New Jersey.
Susan’s presentation focused on the economic aspects of site remediation and was structured as a discussion of such topics as potential cleanup costs, sources of federal and state environmental liability, remediation funding sources, contractual liability, environmental due diligence, technical mechanisms for controlling costs, and the DEP oversight process.
As a member of our Environmental and Brownfields practice group, Susan Karp counsels clients on environmental matters including Brownfields redevelopment and cost recovery. She focuses on identifying and pursuing financing programs, grants and loans applicable to cleanups and redevelopment projects.
