4-6 yrs: Associate sought for Environmental & Brownfields practice group (regulatory/transactional), with four to six years of experience in Environmental Law, specifically including site remediation, landfill closure, waterfront development, stream encroachment and wetlands permitting. Successful candidate will work with nationally-active team to guide clients through environmental issues confronting brownfields redevelopers. Must be admitted to New Jersey bar, and have strong writing and communication skills.

Real Estate & Redevelopment Attorney:

8-10 yrs: Senior attorney sought for Real Estate & Redevelopment practice group, with eight to ten years of experience in real estate and condominium transactional work. Potential counsel or partner opportunity for candidate with existing work. Must be admitted to New Jersey bar, and have excellent writing and communication skills.

SUMMER ASSOCIATES

Each year, Farer Fersko seeks summer associates for its Environmental & Brownfields practice group and Real Estate & Redevelopment practice group. The summer associates assist in preparation of seminar materials and other scholarly publications, including course materials for annual American Law Institute-American Bar Association (ALI-ABA) seminars presented by partners in those practice groups, and with ongoing client-related matters as needed.

Applicants must be in their second year of law school, top third of class, and have superior research and writing skills.

Environmental & Brownfields Summer Associate:

Summer Associate sought for Brownfields & Redevelopment Practice Group, to assist David B. Farer, nationally-recognized environmental lawyer, for research and preparation of 2008 American Law Institute – American Bar Association course materials for 21st annual advanced national seminar: “The Impact of Environmental Law on Real Estate and Business Transactions: Brownfields and Beyond.”

Research and writing project focuses on transaction-triggered environmental laws around the nation, latest developments in federal and state Brownfield redevelopment programs, and case law on contractual allocation of environmental risks in business and real estate transactions.

Attribution is given in published ALI-ABA course materials.

Real Estate & Redevelopment Summer Associate:

Summer Associate sought for Real Estate & Redevelopment Practice Group to assist Jack Fersko, nationally-recognized commercial real estate counsel and department chair, for research and preparation of course materials for a Brownfield Redevelopment Program for the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and Ann M. Waeger, nationally-recognized environmental insurance counsel in the preparation of 2008 American Law Institute – American Bar Association course materials for the 21st annual national seminar: “The Impact of Environmental Law on Real Estate and Business Transactions: Brownfields and Beyond”, and in the ongoing activities undertaken on behalf of clients with respect to real estate development matters.
