Henry Farer is Chairman of our Board of Directors, and a member of our Real Estate & Redevelopment practice group. He has been a lawyer since 1950, the year he founded our firm.
Henry’s practice concentrates in counseling businesses, industrial and commercial real estate owners, operators and tenants. He also handles trusts and estates, estate planning and wills.
Over his many years of practice, Henry has represented numerous industrial real estate landlords and tenants. He has gained extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with the practical and legal aspects involving the operation, purchase, sale, leasing and financing of industrial and commercial real property.
Henry’s practice embraces legal issues, negotiations and preparation of documents in connection with the formation and dissolution of the various forms of entities available to entrepreneurs. He handles problems involving partners, shareholders, directors and officers and the resolution of disputes between them.
To round out his legal services for business, Henry’s practice includes counseling and dealing with estate planning and wills, trust and estates.
Henry is co-author with David Farer of “Lease Assignment, Sublease, Modification and Termination: Matthew Bender New Jersey Transaction Guide,” 1985. He was a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and Union County Bar Association.
Henry received a B.S. in Business Administration from Rutgers University School of Business in 1947 and a J.D. from Rutgers University Law School in 1948.
His interests include music, history, art, golf and travel.
Henry has been named a New Jersey “Super Lawyer” and is accorded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating.
